New for members of joomla-index.com, joomla resources directory, is the members video and phto upload facility.

Up to 50 videos and 50 phtos can be uploaded by each member. These can viewed in the members resources link detail pages

Joomla Index Directory has received some membership registrations from a few who do not fully understand its purpose.

We would like to emphasize the purpose of the Joomla Directory provided by Joomla Index. Joomla Index Directory is available to all Joomla users' (subject to our terms and conditions) to list their website.

Websites added must be based in the servers root directory, i.e. public_html, httpdocs etc. and not in a sub-folder which is then redirected to. In other words it must be the main website that is being added.

The restriction itself prevents any user from adding sub domains or internal urls, by stripping the part after the domain. Moreover, eventually the site url that will be added will be http://www.sitename.suffix, but it will be pointing to a different domain upon clicking. This misleads the user who clicks on the url and hence we feel is wrong.

Joomla Directory is Now Launched

Joomla Index 'Joomla Directory' is now officially available. Any Joomla! user wanting to add a free website listing can do so here: Joomla Directory

All websites added to the directory must be Joomla! based.
