Terms and Conditions of Membership of Joomla Index

Joomla Index is a special and unique resource directory of Joomla! based websites' only. Membership of Joomla Index requires that an individual, or company, must have a website that uses a version of Joomla! (Joomla! CMS) content management system in order to add a website in the directory. Currently, Joomla supported versions are 1.0, 1.5 and 1.6.

Terms and Conditions Explained

• Registration (to become a member) is required before a website can be added to Joomla Index Directory.
• You agree that your website can be validated as Joomla! based during the process of adding it to the directory. This process is automated; we do not need to access your Joomla administration. Only the website main URL will be added, such as: http://websitename.suffix or,  http://www.websitename.suffix. Therefore, websitename/sub-directory-website will not validate.

• The Joomla Index Verification Seal may only be used on websites added to the directory, or when linking to the Joomla Index website from any Joomla!-based website. The image "alt" tag must contain the phrase "Joomla Index Verified".
• If a website fails validation, Joomla Index will automatically delete the membership after 60 days. This allows time for a member to update their website to Joomla based if they wish.
• When a member’s website passes the validation, the process of adding it to the directory will proceed.  A member must then add mandatory details, such as: - Title, Description and Keywords. A member can also add a logo or image to enhance their website directory listing.
• After the first website directory listing, a member may add further websites. These too must pass the validation process.
• Members can choose to receive a monthly email statistic report of their listing to the email address used during registration.
• No adult themed (pornographic) websites are allowed, or any website using email spamming techniques. These listings can be reported by other members and will be deleted by Joomla Index admin without warning.
• Joomla Index reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice.
